Context

Dublin grew around the Liffey and remains the Republic's political and cultural capital. Its Georgian streets, port and neighbourhoods sit alongside a young, international city shaped by technology, universities and the arts.

What to notice

Begin with the river, the historic centre and the city's literary institutions, then follow local life into neighbourhood markets, music rooms and public parks.
